Well, I have to admit that it has been months since the last time I blogged. Well, the summer is coming. I only have a month or two and school will be done. I will have to take time to work on my blog again. Meanwhile, I have had time to do a reasonable amount of time and work to lay out.  So I will take some time trying to update and publish the work I have been doing.









I have been trying to decide whether to write about in order from past to present or present to past. I think I will write from most present back to past and see what I can. The most recent is the tallis that I have just finished. This most recent one was made for someone in the east coast area. Here are two pictures of this most recent large tallis.
This tallis set is unique in color. It was YO1D and B4D, 100% SILK, 30/2 fine silk.  I am quite pleased with the results. The tallis is surprisingly light. Since it was 30/2 silk it has almost now weight, but because it is silk, it has plenty of strength and workship is beautiful.  I certainly that the new owner is pleased when he receives it.

So... That is certainly the most recent thing, but there is other work finishing soon. I have finishing work on a chuppah. The weaving is complete, but I am still figuring out how to support the Chuppah. It was woven as one long piece, but I do not yet know how it will be held. There are a couple of ways to support pieces of work. Anyway, the chuppah is made of Jaggerspun 2/18 wool and silk. I am using grey, orange, aqua and purple. I have only photographed while it was holding on the wall and drying. I have added clear wall support so that it can be hung on a wall when it gets there. 


The picture is not the best. I'll have to put out another once I have a system that can really look like a chuppah. Anyway, I should hear from them soon. The  double weave pickup turned out pretty well.  I think I am giving it to them next weekend. I'll add more pictures as I can.

It is time to push on the voice!

New Grey Dress.

I went to work at designing
and building a new dress. Here it is!

It has been far too long!!!

I can't believe it has been so long, but I finally have something to put on my blog and talk about.

I just finished sewing up a new shirt. It is 100 percent cotton. I am thinking of it for use at the beach. It is just the right size for my wife. After the last couple of days of rain, cold and winter, it is nice to work on something summer designed.

It is easy to check out what was sharing me in the sewing room. The giraffe was sharing that room and sitting among us.

Also, after being away from the blog it is nice to get back to working on the blog again.

This work on the blog keeps be busy and gives me something to do while I am an spring break.

Anyway, now that I am working on clothes again, I'll try to keep people more up to date on how things are going these days.

A new shawl.

I got a recent request for a large shawl. I like the color choice and size.

I think I'll have to make a few more of this size with different color groups.

I have the feeling that it would be warm to wear and it certainly looks dramatically beautiful. The color group is perfect for fall and into the winter. The only problem is heavy rain would not be good for the chenille.

Working bags!

So I had some cloth that was not being used and I finally decided to make some bags. These are really nice bags. I must admit that I got the idea from a bag made for me by a friend. The underlying support is some plastic based Cat Screen. The material is used to make window screens that cat's can not ruin. That is a strong support for a good bag. I used wool based material for the edges.

In these pictures you can see how well they ended up. They each have strong grips for carrying good heavy contents.

I may soon try using one for carrying grocery when I go shopping soon.

A new dress and top.

The past several days I have been working on making a dress and a matched jacket.

I finished the dress two days ago and went to work with the rest.

This dress was a lot of work.

Matching the lining was a lot of work.

I have also been working on making bookmarks.

The sun was shining and the picture came out ok.
