I have started making baby carry. These car all made using thin cotton and can easily be washed.
I am excited that our first grand child is coming soon and that encouraged me to think about figuring out how to make these appropriate items.
I can't make only one or two.

"The Opposite"
Only 45 of the 270 submissions to this show were accepted. I am pleased that this one made it. The atturah's for the two tallasim are statements of the torah. The first one is from the statement that is was dark on surface of the earth. And the white tallis has G-d's statement that "there should be light and their was light." These two tallis are exact opposites. Thread by thread opposites in White and Black silk.

Making pillows for using in the house.
I have been making a set of pillows for augmenting the living room. These are all made using rib-weave. This collection of bright and various colors has worked out very nicely. This collection of pillows are 20x20, 16x16 and 12x12. The three pillows provide easily washed cotton covers. The bright colors augments the room and improves the otherwise simple couch.
I have to admit that I am getting into the rib-weave process and I have found several good ways to use it.

Picking up sailing again!
Well, it turns out that I can go sailing again. Now that we are living down here by the ocean, it seems appropriate with starting sailing again. I am working on passing the 101 and 103 permits so that I can rent sail boats. Yesterday, I spent some time out on a nice little 22 footer. The wind picked up in the afternoon to 11 or 12. This nice snug little boat was making a good run. We were able to sail out about half way to the islands and back between 2 and 5 in the afternoon. The biggest problem in this afternoon is making sure that you don't get too close to the fishermen. You are also sailing in the area of the big shipping boats and have to make sure you don't get in their way. Fortunately, they don't come through too often.

Back to blogging.
Well, I have to admit that it has been months since the last time I blogged. Well, the summer is coming. I only have a month or two and school will be done. I will have to take time to work on my blog again. Meanwhile, I have had time to do a reasonable amount of time and work to lay out. So I will take some time trying to update and publish the work I have been doing.
I have been trying to decide whether to write about in order from past to present or present to past. I think I will write from most present back to past and see what I can. The most recent is the tallis that I have just finished. This most recent one was made for someone in the east coast area. Here are two pictures of this most recent large tallis.
This tallis set is unique in color. It was YO1D and B4D, 100% SILK, 30/2 fine silk. I am quite pleased with the results. The tallis is surprisingly light. Since it was 30/2 silk it has almost now weight, but because it is silk, it has plenty of strength and workship is beautiful. I certainly that the new owner is pleased when he receives it.
So... That is certainly the most recent thing, but there is other work finishing soon. I have finishing work on a chuppah. The weaving is complete, but I am still figuring out how to support the Chuppah. It was woven as one long piece, but I do not yet know how it will be held. There are a couple of ways to support pieces of work. Anyway, the chuppah is made of Jaggerspun 2/18 wool and silk. I am using grey, orange, aqua and purple. I have only photographed while it was holding on the wall and drying. I have added clear wall support so that it can be hung on a wall when it gets there.
The picture is not the best. I'll have to put out another once I have a system that can really look like a chuppah. Anyway, I should hear from them soon. The double weave pickup turned out pretty well. I think I am giving it to them next weekend. I'll add more pictures as I can.
