We can clearly tell that it is still winter. We know because we can still see now on the mountain. It is quite fun that we can see the snow out there on the mountain while we walk along the beach on the sand. We can also tell where the heavy winter storms have worked on the sand. After the storm, rain and heavy wind, today was beautiful. It's still cool, but the wind was not bad and we were able to go out and walk along the beach. Yesterday, there were very few people on the beach, but today there were a lot of people on the beach and enjoying the sun. Some people had brought their chairs and were out there sitting on the sand. We stopped and watched some of the surfers. 
A group of four kids came down to the beach, stretched into their wet suits and started surfing. We were sitting on the sand on the other side of the pier than the area where they were surfing. What a relaxing thing to walk out on the beach every day. Now we are waiting for a little bit warmer weather. Just a couple of days and it will be March. We are surely hoping that the spring will come soon!
